Reporting database does not match published database

D

I have created some reports in SQL Reporting Services running at the project
and assignment level. I am getting inconsistent results. How do I ensure
the databases are syncing regularly?

Hmm, I am wondering if that is a similar issue to what I am experiencing.
The information that I pull from the Resource Assignments and other views
does not match what is coming from my Data Analysis views. I noticed that
change after the Infrastructure Update.

If i am not mistaken Data Analysis is a snapshot of what is in the reporting
database. Anywho, I have opened a ticket with Microsoft...will keep you
posted.

Check the Queue. If the Reporting database is not staying in synch with
published database you will likely see jobs stuck in the queue. you can try
re-starting the queuing service if this is the case.

As far as the data analysis views go, indeed that info comes from the
reporting database (as Sql server views with the "_OlapView" extension).

Hi dleonard,

it is likely that you have some jobs stuck int he Queue. Go to server
settings . manage queue and see if you have any jobs pending.
Hope this helps

In the past I have had some jobs stuck in the queue. Restarting the queue
services resolved that issue. However, I am still getting inconsistent
results. As with EPMLearner's comment I too have deployed the Infrastructure
Update.

Marc, What controls the synchronisation of the reporting and published
databases?

When you publish a project the sync to the reporting db will happen at the
same time ( based on events), you can see this in the Project Server Queue
Hope this helps
