Reporting nonproject time

We are running a pilot using Proj2002 server. Nonproject
time entries are being tested for unplanned events (sick
time, etc) that could effect anyone, not just the members
of dedicated project teams.

Seeing that nonproject time does not load into analyzer, I
am looking for a way to generate enterprise time reports
for each resource with all actuals from PWA: Revenue
projects, admin projects and nonproject time.

Any clues..?

For tracking nonproject time, I prefer to use administrative projects in
place of the Nonproject Time categories in PWA. The major hitch with the
fields in PWA is that there is no default reporting mechanism within PWA to
collect the nonproject time numbers, and as you have discovered, the numbers
do not end up in the Portfolio Analyzer either.

On the other hand, if you create an administrative project to capture the
same types of nonproject time categories, you can publish your
administrative project to PWA and the numbers will be processed in the
Portfolio Analyzer. You can also report on nonproject time categories the
way that you would report on any other project.

When you add nonproject time tasks in your administrative plan(s), I would
recommend that you use long-Duration tasks which are non-effort driven and
Fixed Duration. When you assign resources to nonproject tasks, you should
assign them at very low Units, such as 1% or 5%, etc. I would invite others
to add their comments to your question as well. Hope this helps.
