Reporting problems

C

ChIeF

Problem 1:
I need to evaluate resources on the accuracy of their estimated times.
I would need a report (in Project or excel or Access) which shows me
this:

Resource name Task Estimated time Real time

The way i can print report by resource or for all resources.

Problem 2:
I've used the resource task planning view which shows resource task by
week. But week crossing activities are shown full time on both side.
Example for a 40 hours week:

Week 1
Manage consultants 60hours
Week 2
Manage consultants 60hours
Create table 20 hours

Is there a way to show only the hours left after the week on the new
one?

Thanks all

Hi Chief,

Problem1. You have to save a baseline before entering actual data
When a task is done you enter actual data.
Then switch to the Resource Usage View
Filter for finished tasks

Show a table (left) Name - BaselineWork - Actual Work

The only way you can have

Resource - Task - BaselineWork - Actual Work

is when you have only one resource on each task

Hi Chief,

For Problem 1. You have to sabve a baseline before entering actual work.
Then after actuals are entered in the Resource Usage View you can show

Name - Baseline Work - Actual Work

For Problem2.
I hope you are talking about the Resource Usage View (it is a bit unpleasant
to have to guess what you mean, it is easier for everybody when you use the
real name of the view);
Well, in that view, very simply, what you say is not true.
Timescaled data are shown accurately.
