We are experiencing problems when trying to report on Project Costs at a task
level. We can easily sum up task level costs for associates that were
assigned to the task by the PM. However, when the associate self-assigns to
the task through the New Task function, a change occurs with the task ID.
I'm not sure if it's assigning a new task ID and creating a new record, or
changing the existing task ID. Either way, the costs cannot be linked back
to a task name. So, nearly all of our project reports show a blank task at
the top with an associated costs which represents these "self-assigned" task
hours.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, can you please provide
a recommendation to address it?
