Reporting tools

Hi,
I'm trying to find a tool that people can open up an Access
database and create their own dynamic reports. I have been looking at
Crystal reports... does anything think this is any good for Access
or not?
Any free-add ins around that do a really good job?

I'm using A2K2.

While I'm asking about reporting I have trouble with some of my
complex reports in that the horizontal lines print randomly around the
page and not where they are supposed to be. It looks very unprofessional.
Would Acc2003 fix this because I don't believe I can do anything to
fix this at the moment unless I get rid of the lines.

Thankyou,

Yes, Crystal is a good tool.
RE: printing lines : Access does not print any lines except those you
specify - so look at your report again and find out where those lines are
hidden

RE: printing lines :
I have done many many tests in this area. Some times
it prints the horizontal lines correctly, otherwise not. I
am 100% sure the horizontal lines are placed in the report
where I want them. The majorty of the time it happens
it seems that the horizontal lines have not moved from where
they were placed in design view like they are supposed to
when other sub reports grow.

I really an dumb founded why this happens.

Sometimes hairline width lines will not print because the printer resolution
is not high enough, or printing to PDF can have the same effect.

In general non technical people I think would prefer Access over Crystal
reports.

If you want to develop reporting systems so users can run reports over the
web and have flexibility in controlling how the reports look/feel (date,
appearance etc...) checkout our products.
