Reports, sending them via email and spreadsheeting them

Hello,
I don't know if this is possible...I'm somewhat of a
novice and self taught. I have a report that needs to get
converted into an excel or usable spreadsheet and then
emailed. When I use Office Links and then click on
Analyze with Excel, I'm loosing totals. I don't want to
have to manipulate the spreadsheet every quarter when I
have to send these out and there is going to be more
reports people want.
Or at the very least, if I can't get it into an excel
format with totals, can I email the report?
Any ideas or am I wanting the moon?
