Reports stop working

Recently a couple of my reports just stopped working in my access 2003
datatbase. They won't open in design mode or in preview/print mode. I have
tried deleting them and importing them from an older saved version that is
still working but that doesn't work either. This has happened twice. I've
had to re-create some pretty intense reports and I don't want to keep doing
this. Help please?

Yes - After thinking about this - I should add - I was using the report
successfully one minute (multiple times) and then the next time it failed.
It's like is just said I'm out of here. I've been using it daily for 5
years. It just ceased to exist.

A little confused here... Did it stop woring or just disappear? What
version of Access? How big is your database? (When was the last time you
compacted it?)

I'm a little confused too. They stopped working and dissapeared. The names
of the reports are still in my report section - but will not open in any
mode. (Design, preview or print.) I have not compacted it and it is huge.
I'm going to clean it out today and will try compacting it. It is 2003.

MAKE A BACK-UP... Then try creating a new database and importing all object
into it.
