I have a couple access 2003 (office 2003 professional) installs that are
having trouble opening reports. The individuals have to change their
default printer (network printer) to a different printer, once they do this,
they can open reports in access. I first noticed this with one user who had
our xerox color laser as his default. When he changed his default to our HP
5si laser then the reports opened fine. When he changed his printer back,
clicking on reports seems to have no result what so ever.
I just had another user on the same network who has a Lexmark laser printer
as her default, and interestingly enough changing to the Phaser color laser
allows her to open reports, but when she is set to the Lexmark as the
default, she can not open reports.
I am baffled as to what is exactly going on (they are working with different
reports). Is it something with the design of the report? The user's setup?
I am not sure what to do to resolve this issue.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
