As suggested, I thought I'd try this group. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

I'd like to believe that nothing is impossible; but you're certainly deep
into the impractical and very likely approaching the "it's not worth it"
zone. I'm not the best person with whom to discuss development issues as I'm
not a developer. You might try bantering this topic at
microsoft.public.project.developer. Greater dev minds are available in that
group.

Hi,

You can update Projects using the time sheet PDS capabilities, but PDS still
won't recalculate anything. The project needs to be opened in Project
Professional then re-published for any re-calculated fields to update.

So what is it you want to do? Always bear in mind that the project
calculation engine is Project Professional.

For VBA posts, please use the public.project.developer group.
For any version of Project use public.project
For any version of Project Server use public. project.server

Conceivably you COULD write code which did critical path recalculation on
the database, but remember it took microsoft 3 generations just to get
Project Server working in the first place.

I just want to ensure that I am not overlooking anything to make this work
across the internet. To summarize I basically have four options for
connecting outside of the firewall:
1) Open ports
2) VPN
3) Terminal Services
4) Develope an immense amount of server-side code

Thanks
