Repost: Help!.. trouble with lost calendar entries

I am running Windows XP Pro and am using Outlook 2000. I only use the
Outlook to sync with a PDA to organize appointments, contacts and notes...I
do not use it for email. Recently, Outlook would freeze and not open when I
tried to use it. I cannot recall anything unusual at the time other than
this program stopped functioning. At the same time, I was having an
unrelated video card problem that necesitated some hardware changes that
forced me to re-format the HD. I saved a copy of the outlook.pst file
before cleaning the HD. When everything was back together and working
properly, I was able to import the contact list sucessfully to the newly
loaded Outlook by using the FILE / IMPORT in the menu, but the appointments
will not come back if I try to import them the same way I did the contacts.
Also, the waste basket icon in Outlook appears to show items in the basket
ready to be deleted, but there is nothing there when I open it. I would
appreciate any help anyone can offer...I'm stumped. Thanks again.

Never import from a PST. There's no need and you lose data. If you have
your original PST, open it with File>Open>Personal Folders File.
