Repost - Old Post Gone?

Yesterday, I posted about not being able to get the Windows version of
Word to open files created on a Mac running OSX. We tried using the
Open -> File method, as well as the standard double-clicking and
nothing would allow it to open without making it garbage, i.e.,
symbols, etc.

We suspected that it was an email thing, so we transported the file via
Zip disk, but we still had the same problems. Any ideas about what is
going on?

Sorry about the repost, but I can't find the old one anymore.

Keith.
