repost:Out Of Office Assistant - help

K

Kimlyn

I posted this on August 5th and still haven't received
any help...I'm hoping someone can still help...

I have a three fold problem, and I haven't spotted the
answers in any of the IT communities, I am using W2K,
office 2000.
1) In using OOA and being a member of multiple
distribution lists, once the reply is set up and started,
replies not only go to me but to each individual
distribution list I'm a part of each time an email comes
in to me. How can I fix it in the rules wizard so that it
only sends it once to any email or distribution group if
they previously received one.
2) I am able to use OOA for only office email. It won't
reply to people with e-mail addresses outside the office.
3) The Microsoft Exchange Server is version 5.5. Is there
a way to allow OOA to be sent to recipients? (based on
article #323665...I don't have those settings)

1) OOA is designed to send a response just once to each individual sender. If your DL is arranged so that the From address is the sender's address, not the DLs, the only way to avoid the multiple responses is to unsubscribe or turn off mail from the DL.

2) Check with your Exchange administrator, who probably has blocked automatic responses to the Internet using the settings of the Internet Mail Service.
