Repost: Spooler error 0x80004005, unable to publish

I am getting the error 0x80004005 in the spooler while
trying to publish the project via Pro 2003.

Instructions on Microsoft Knowledge Base
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
kbid=328249&product=prj), installing SP1 etc did not help.

I noticed that the xml file is dropped in the View drop
folder and gets deleted also automatically-like it
should, no problems with that.
