Repost: Verify - .NET IDTExtensibility2 add-ins are Word 2002 and

Hi;

I just want to verify that a Word add-in suing IDTExtensibility2 (not VSTO)
can only run on Word 2002 and later (ie not on Word 2000).

ps - and as the 200 PIAs won't install, this really means Word 2003 and
later only.

Office 2000 should support IDTExtensibility2 Interface.

Also we can consider PIA as kind of special com interop assembly. For
office xp and 2003, we have provide the downloadable pia in our website.
But for office 2000 we did not provide such a pia, but we can do it
ourselves.

Hi;

This must be a common request. And the Office 2002 PIAs are downloadable
from the MS website. Are you sure the Office 2000 PIAs are not available
somewhere on the MS website?

Since office 2000 is an old version compared with office xp and office
2003, we did not provide such PIA officailly.
If you have such request, I think you may need to submit the request to
mswish.
