Represent hyperlinks with meaningful presentation

OneNote presents hyperlinks with a URL. Often these links become long, ugly
and convey no meaning. Take for example the link to this submission page,
trimmed:

http://www.microsoft.com/wn3/aspx/postui.aspx?query=Represent+hyperlinks+with+meaningful+text, ....

The URL text would not fix on a single note with a reasonable amount of
space, hence why it's trimmed. Also the URL does not state anything about
what may be found following the link.

Instead a mechanism, perhaps like HTML, should be used to provide a
meaningful presentation for the link.

As an aside the title page "Post your suggestion", from which this
suggestion comes, yeilding a messing to the "OneNote General Questions" is
counter intuitive. There is no question here, only a suggestion.

It's cool to know that Office 12 will be addressing this, but in the
meantime you might want to use the TinyURL service. This lets you take
any given URL -- however long -- and create a short URL for it. For
example, I can take a URL like:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;829244

and shorten it to:

http://tinyurl.com/7h59j

with a simple mouse click.

Visit http://tinyurl.com and use the "Make Toolbar Button" link to put a
link in your "Links" toolbar. Then you can go anywhere on the Web and
click the "TinyURL this page" button to instantly convert it to a short-
and-sweet URL. It's VERY handy.

Another alternative is to simply use the "Send to OneNote from Internet
Explorer" PowerToy to shoot a snapshot of the whole web page directly
into a OneNote page. See

(or http://tinyurl.com/b3mwl) ;-) to get the tool.
