Reproducable bug in Excel 2004

I have a spreadsheet that I use for my consulting timesheet. There are 2
columns and one single cell that contain dates as simple formulas. i.e..
=B19+1 or =B25. The most complicated is =WEEKDAY(B19,1). At the end of the
week, I do a select all, copy, paste special/values to "lock" the data. At
this point, it's all just literal data. Then I copy the tab to a new book.
When I do that, the dates and days all shift by one and the year jumps from
2006 to 2010. It does the same thing if I just select the data, copy it, and
paste it into a new book. If I just key the data in rather than starting with
a formula, there's no problem.

What are the chances of getting Microsoft to fix this?

Thanks!
Mark

This is not a bug, it is by design. The 2 workbooks have different date
systems. Check the calculation tab and the 1904 date option. Make sure both
workbooks have the same option and the dates will be fine.

Wow. That was quick & easy.

Sorry, I'm new to the Mac. This is the first I've heard of this. My original
timesheet workbook was created in Windows and copied over to the Mac. The
scary thing is, this has happened every week since April and this is the
first time either my broker, the cliet, or myself has noticed the problem!

Thanks!
