Reprogram the Keypad Del/. key

Doug Steele was very helpful in showing me how to re-
program the number keys on the keypad to input letters
instead, but now I'd like to "re-program" the Del/period
key so it acts like the Delete key, when the NumLock is
on. (Normally, when the NumLock is on, the key produces
the period. I want it to delete, without me having to
first turn NumLock off, then hit the key, then turn
NumLock back on so I can resume using the number keys.)
