I am running Project Professional & Project Server 2003.
I have a resource that was assigned to a project's task & entered
actuals for a single day -- but it was the wrong project. For tracking
purposes, I reassigned the resource to the correct project, and
published, like normal. However, when I went to Adjust Actuals in PWA,
the new assignment was not displaying.
Having encountered similar issues in the past, I figured I needed to
Republish that specific task. When I highlighted the task and clicked
Republish Assignments, it told me "There are no items to be published."
I found this strange, as there clearly was a new resource assignment.
I changed his Work a little, and added a different resource, and again
chose to Republish Assignments on this highlighted task. This time the
Republish screen came up, but only listed the assignment added for the
second resource. It was as if the first resource was not there.
The unusual thing is that I have been giving this guy assignments for
two months, he's been entering time for two months. Am I missing
something? I added him just as I added the other resources, and before
posting this double-checked to make sure he wasn't listed as Generic or
anything like that.
