Republish Assignments works sporadically

After importing a new project to the Enterprise I made
some assignment adjustments such as replacing Generic
Resources with Enterprise Resources.

The tasks are not always showing in the Enterprise
Resources timecard. Typically if I Republish Assignments
enough times it will all come through. But is has gotten
to a point where it republishes some times and not
others. I'm being buried by phone calls from resources
who can't see the tasks assigned to them.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm also having this problem. The only way to get a fix for this bug is to
purchase a support contract with Microsoft?
