Republishing website

I have completely overhauled my website.
I did so by creating a second website (with FP 2003) in C:\Documents and
Settings\My Name\My Documents\My Websites.

Can I just upload the new, second website to my web host to replace the
first website? Or does my web host need to take the current website down in
order to prevent a mess?

I am asking the experts here first because in the past the people at my web
host company have given me wrong advice.

If all pages are named the same you can just Publish.
Otherwise remove the existing site yourself or have the Provider do
it.
