Requery Command not available when running macros

I am using the requery and refresh commands to update the the results of a
subform. i am getting an error message that the command or action 'requery'
is not available now. this command is working in other databases i am using
now, but not this current one.

Please... if some code you wrote causes an error, we need to see that
code.

There is no specific code. i have just create a macro with the requery
command. i have also created one with the refresh command in it....
