Jones the Code
Due to an apparent bug in Outlook 2003, email filtering can fail due to the
"on this machine only" checkbox being left set to its default value of
checked.
This can result in a large number of emails sitting in the Inbox instead of
in their correct folders.
It is possible, of course, to "remove the "on this machine only" check mark
and then run the set of rules against the Inbox items.
However, not only is it tedious to have to correct all of the rules in this
way, but to rub salt into the wound, there seems to be no way to apply the
set of rules either globally or as a selected block. If one has a large
number of rules to apply, one has to check each individual riule to be
applied. This is appallingly inefficient, and a better solution is required.
