Request "Read" Reply

I periodically send e-mails with a "read" reply requested.
I get very few postings of "read" when I view the Tracking" tab on the
message.

Do we only get a "read" reply if the reader also has Outlook.

Any mail client that honors read receipt requests will send that receipt
provided the user allows it. There's nothing that says read receipt
requests must be honored. If you were to request a receipt from me, for
example, you wouldn't get one. I have my mail clients ignore them. It
would be none of your business to know when or if I read my mail.

Brian - Thanks for the quick response. Perhaps I need to check with the
people on my distribution list to be sure that they authorize "read"
receipts.

I only ask for them when the message needs a response from recipients who
have agreed to perform certain functions for our Hands Across the Sea
Network.
