Requesting the user to enter the project file name

I have developed a MS-Project template so to be used as a standard in the
organisation. A feature that I see very useful consists in requesting the
user to enter the file name at open time and checking that the file name
conforms to the standard pattern.
I have implemented such a feature in several MS-Excel templates by using the
"GetSaveAsFilename" method and some verification rules. However it seems that
the method is not available in MS-Project.
Can anybody give me some advice. Thanks.

Hi,

I am really astonished by your reply. I am querying about a "method" and
your answer refers to an "event". I could not understand your advice. Can you
please reread my question?. For your information, I am not an expert in VBA.

Project does not have a GetSave method so you would need to test the name in
an event. You can however use a windows API to display a browse box for
SaveAs. Copy the one from http://access.mvps.org
