Doug Robbins - Word MVP - DELETE UPPERCASE CHARACT
Hi Andre,
By inserting a { FILENAME \p } field (Via Insert>Field) in the footer. I
would however warn you strongly about do this in the normal.dot template as
it will almost certainly screw up any labels that you try to create by
insert the filename on them as well. What you should really do is create a
separate template especially for this purpose.
If you do this and you do not want Document 1 etc to appear on an unsaved
document, you can use an { IF } field construction to compare the {
SAVEDATE } of the document to the value that field returns for an unsaved
document and only have the { FILENAME \p } appear if the { SAVEDATE } is
later.
Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.
Hope this helps
