Required fonts (dictionary problem)

Noreen Gorky

Definitions are not visible on the dictionary palette. Are there
required fonts that I might have deleted? A definiton (although not
visible) will copy/paste into a document, so has it been changed to
white -- if so, how can it be changed back?

Any other ideas? Re-installing Word 2004 results in the same problem.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reference, Dayo, but neither tip worked (deleting
certain prefs, using Font Doctor).

Is anybody else having this problem? How could the font have turned to
white or otherwise become invisible -- in just the dictionary
definiton field?

Hi Noreen,

Did you try testing your plist file and other settings files as well as the
font cache? If not, try it.

Otherwise, try testing your Normal template:

You said in your original post that you tried reinstalling Word. Did you do
a full removal first? If not, you may not have replaced whatever file was
at fault. The procedure for a full removal and reinstall of Office is here:
