required updates include french grammer?

Is this a security risk? I wonder why these 'required' updates do not explain
any security fixes and why junk-mail update is labeled optional but is a
required update.

The implementation of the French grammar checker, even if not used, allows a
malicious person to potentially compromise your PC via the grammar checker.
It IS a required update.
