Rescued Document

I had a document saved in Word. I made some changes and went to save with a
disc in my computer and somehow the file became corrupted and was deleted. I
have a "rescued document" file in .txt but I'm unable to read it. There are
a lot of question marks (???) and the only text I can read are the changes I
made just before I tried to resave the document. Is there a way I can
convert the .txt document to something I can read? I'm using Windows XP and
Office Professional Edition 2003.

Presumably you have no data backups?
Its all ways unwise to either open data from a floppy/cd edit then attempt
to save that data to the media
Data should be saved to hard disk, then copied to media.
Depends what disk media you were initially using, as there are various third
party recovery utilities that may heve hepled, but if you have accessed the
media since the problem any data may have been overwritten and so a recovery
may no longer possible.
Stop using the media immediately then google for recovery utilities, most
have a try before you buy.

if you are experiencing
a sign of corruption, then
it is time to stop what you
are doing and tune up
your computer before
more corruption occurs.
