"Research" Explorer Bar malfunctioning on Windows 2000

I installed Office 2003 on Windows 2000 SP4, and noticed that in Explorer, I
now have a 'Research' option under View > Explorer Bar. However, it functions
as if it were an alias for the standard 'Folders' bar. I assume it's supposed
to do something else.

Has anyone else observed this behavior? I checked the Knowledge Base, Office
newsgroups, and Google, but didn't see any mention of it.

What went wrong? Is there a way to properly activate it?

Thanks

Hi Mike,

The Research choice is linked into Internet Explorer and should function there. It appears to be 'echoed' into Windows Explorer as
well, where, as you mentioned, it doesn't function with 'normal' settings.

Hmm, yeah, it does seem to work in IE. I see the behavior is the same on
Windows XP with Office 2007 installed, too. Seems like a bit of an oversight
that it would be an option in Windows Explorer but not be functional there!
Glad it's not just me, though. Thanks.
