Reset All in Solver Parameters crashes Solver

I'm using Solver in Excel 2004 for Mac. In the Solver Parameters dialog box,
clicking Reset All results (every time) in the following error message:
"Solver: An unexpected internal error occurred, or available memory was
exhausted." Then, Solver quits and returns me to my worksheet. I'm running
MacOSX 10.3, and have installed all the current updates for both OSX and
Office2004. I wouild appreciate any advice from others with a similar
experience.

Sorry - I haven't seen this.

I'd recommend trying some basic troubleshooting:

Thanks JE. I tried the basic troubleshooting suggested in your cited
website to no avail. I am using Office 2004 (Office Version 11.1.0
(04009). It seems the comments on the website are current up to version
10.x. At any rate, any other suggestions would be most appreciated.

I have had some experience with this problem. It was reported to MS
MacOffice Product Support by a user back in October 2004 and was filed
as a problem with the MacBU Testing department. Unfortunately, at this
time, there appears to be no solution except to avoid using the Reset
All. Hopefully this might be fixed in some future version.

Was there any indication of what caused the problem? I can use Reset All
with XL04 with no problem in a test workbook...

I have a Solver file that does this. You may be right that it is
specific to something in the Solver model that was being used. The
"problem" was originally filed with Testing prior to release of 2004
(on 8/15/2003) and was "postponed" because of the "danger of breaking
Solver". It was actually bugged twice. One of the problems with XL and
Solver is that Solver was written (at least before 1991) and licensed
from a 3rd party company and it appears very few developing for XL now
are familiar with this code. Obviously, some thing has broken as this
button used to work.
