reset feature "always ask before opening this type of file"

hello

When I am opening an attachment (Outlook 2007 and Windows Vista) I am
supposed to get an Opening mail attachment dialogue box that provides 2
options (Open or Save).
If the Always ask before opening this type of file has been unchecked, how do
I reset this feature?

in vista, there is no "File types' tab in the folder options and the menu
Control Panel/Default Programs/Set Associations does not allow to reset that
