Reseting Outlook to As New

I've been having problems with Outlook sending and receiving emails for a
while. It's now getting frustrating and I want to start from fresh. I have
everything saved, so how do I "reset" Outlook so that I can start over as a
new user. I deleted the email accounts associated with outlook, but for some
reason after I add a new account it wont send or receive email. It does sync
contacts and my calender with Google, but not the contacts and email. Any
help is appreciated.

What happens when you try? Any error messages?
Which version of Outlook are we talking about here?
Are you connecting to Gmail via POP3 or IMAP?
Have you verified the account settings?

Recreating the mail profile would "reset" Outlook, but if the issues aren't
with your account configuration, it's not going to help you.
