I deal with reports that can contain photos taken by, shall we say,
"non-professional" photographers. Due to concerns about the integrity of
photographic data, there is only so much I am allowed to do to a photo. I
can resize and resample the whole photo to make it fit better in my Word
document, and I can adjust color, brightness, and so forth to enhance (if
possible!) the subject of the photo.
If, though, the subject of the photo was positioned incorrectly (say in the
bottom right corner), I'm not supposed to crop the photo using software to
create a new image. Rather I need to use Word's size and crop tools to
adjust the imported photo to show what I need. This should allow a
questioning reader to reset the photo to its original size and prove the
image data left out really wasn't necessary.
The question from this is: if the reader does reset the photo from size and
crop, it of course messes up my page and document formatting! Is there any
way short of a macro in each document to restore my resize and crop settings
after a "reset"?
