Resetting value of Drop Downs containing "Default Value"

Hi NG,

I have finally managed to fill one Drop down named "Country" based on the
selection the User does in another Dorp down named "Region". So, if User
selects Region = Europe then values in Country are Germany, Austria, Italy,
....

I did that with the "Default Values" setting. It took me some time to find
that out, but finally it is working pretty good.

BUT: There seems to be a bug in Infopath linked to the default values.
Example:
I select "Europe" and "Germany". Now I am changing the Region Drop Down to
"North America". In the Country Dorp Down still "Germany" is selected. If I
expand the Drop Down the values displayed are belonging to "North America"
except for "Germany". After changing the "Region" the country field should
be reset to the default value, but it isn't...
Does anyone of you know how to overcome this issue?

Hi Martin,

When you change your Region, why don't you set the value of the node linked
to your country drop-down to "", which will automatically select your display
to "Select...".

Does it make sense?
