Resize Image (URGENT HELP NEEDED)

I'm going to try and explain this all over and hopefully give a better idea
of what I am trying to do.

To better clarify the "original" question, please go to
http://www.mundodelocio.com/cine/actrices/evangeline-lilly-fotos.php, click
on a few pictures and then hover over them with your mouse. As you will see
the pictures were too large (some over 2000px) to fit on the screen and
automatically reduced to fit on the screen leaving (a button in the lower
right when you hover) with the option to enlarge, scroll and view at their
original size. This is what I want to do.

I have pictures that I have reduced to thumbnails at my site. When people
click on them, ther are hyperlinked to the original size image, which is
often too large to fit on the screen as per the examples at the above link.

I would like the code (in laymen's terms) so the images will display fully
within the window (auto resize to fit screen if too large) just like at the
link presented above.

I realize I could crop the photos, but then people with larger resolution
sizes would not get the full benefit of the photo.

Thanks to those who previously responded, but I am not asking for advice as
to what I should or should not do at my website. I just want to know the
code (in laymen's terms) to accomplish my objective of getting the pictures
to automatically fit all screen resolutions.

The example again is at:

http://www.mundodelocio.com/cine/actrices/evangeline-lilly-fotos.php

Any solid help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Michelle

The auto-resizing is a function of the browser, at present restricted
to Internet Explorer when the user has not turned the function off.
You cannot expand a small image to fill the screen (or browser window)
unless you are willing to allow the image to distort considerably.
There is no code for this - it is up to the user to allow it, or not.

FireFox has the same feature. It's just not as intrusive as IE's. The mouse
pointer switches to a magnifying glass.

I have already answered one of your questions about this. Please don't start
so many threads. What you want to do is NOT really possible. Resize your
images to no more that 750 wide or 450 tall (for verticles) so that no one
will have scroll. Think about the time it takes to upload those huge images
if they are of any quality at all. They must be optimized carefully.
