Resize navigator bar

I'm a newbie with FP2000. I'm creating web pages with shared borders top and
left with the left boarder containing navigation buttons. The child pages
have a H1 heading style and show up on text on the navigation buttons. The
problem is the text is to long for the button/frame and some of the text is
cut off (text is center on nav. buttons).

I've searched the knowledge base and the newgroup and didn't find any hits
on resizing the width of the navigation bar/shared boarders; is there a way
to resize the width?

Assuming you are using a FrontPage link bar with a theme, do any (or
all three) of the following:

In Navigation View, change the name of the pages - this is what
appears on the buttons. Make the name shorter.

If graphical buttons, modify the theme to use larger buttons. You
will have to make your own buttons in a graphics editor, or modify
those provided by FrontPage in the _themes/themename folder.

Or, Modify the theme to use a smaller font for the buttons.

When/if you modify a theme, use Save As to save the modified theme
with a new name. Remove the old theme from your pages and apply the
new theme. If you do not use a new name, the old theme components
will reappear, and your changes will be lost.

The width of the shared border is determined by the content that goes
in it, in your case it is the width of the buttons.

Understand, thanks for the great help. My plan is to clone the theme button
and make the clone large enough and use it as the theme button.

Thanks again...

I have the same issue - want a larger graphic. I followed what i thought you
said here: rename the directory under _themes, enlarge the graphics (i
enlarged them all since i couldn't tell which one was being used). Next i
edited the webbot line to change the s-theme="DeepBlue 0000" to
s-theme="mydeepblue 1000" and what happens is the graphics are gone, replaced
with underlined text in a very small font.

the _themes directory i changed is the one associated with the web site i'm
working on.

thanks for your help

No. I said Modify the theme.
This is not the same as renaming the folder and changing the graphics.
When you customise the theme, a new theme .elm file is created from which
all graphics, fonts etc. are extracted into the _theme folder.
