ReSize page tab width per Section

I'd like to resize the width of the side bar containing the page tabs
on a per Section basis.

At the moment if I resize it resizes for all Folders and Sections.
However some of my sections have long names e.g. "Feb 2005 Forcasts v
Actuals", and then some sections have short names e.g. "Research".
Therefore having wider page tabs on one section and not another would
be great. (Then I could avoid using names such as "Feb05 FvA" - which
are ok for me but not when other people read the titles.)

It's a small thing but I'd find it useful.

As you've found, that is a global setting which applies to all sections.

However, there is a Tool Tip which displays the full name of the page and
the date displayed in the page header. If you can find a reasinable
middle-ground size of the page tab area, and then rely on the Tool Tips for
more information if needed.
