resize pictures in Outlook

When I clicked on the link provided by Gerald....

http://www.winxptutor.com/resizeimage.htm

I got a Window that opened......... PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED.........

I would very much like to follow up on Gerald suggested solution to my
problem....but can't since the Link won't open a Site. Any suggestions from
anyone?

I downloaded and installed the Microsoft toy/Plug-in, Image Resizer, but
when I click on a picture, Click the smallest size, nothing happens. No new
picture is created at a smaller size in the folder. I'm perplexed. I want
to send digital pictures taken with my 3 Mega Pixel Camera as an attachment
to an Outlook E-mail message but when I select the picture and click on Send
to mail recepient the picture becomes an attachment to an e-mail message at
it Full/original size too large for e-mailing. There must be a fix and I
do hope someone can provide it.

Did not your camera come with software to do this, I thought most did, mine
cerainly did. Or were you saying in your origonal post that your camera
software was no longer functioning?

I have Kodak Easyshare Software but that only allows you to send pictures
using the kodak Website....not your Mail Client (mine is Outlook 2002). Up
until about 2 weeks ago when I would click on a picture, click on Send to
Mail Recepient, I would get the Windows SEND PICTURES VIA E-MAIL DIALOG BOX
which would ask if you wanted to send the pictures at a smaller size for
faster E-Mailing or leave at Original size. This Dialog Window no longer
opens and I am trying to find out why so I can correct the problem and get it
opening again.

Yes, when I clicked on Resize Pictures a Duplicate picture at a much smaller
size is created in the same folder with the same name with SMALL added to it.
So was it your command, or, your command and the Image Resizer Powertoy
Software I downloaded from Microsoft that gave me the results? Di I need the
Image Resizer Software, or, should I remove it. Thanks

That's why you tried:
Start-run
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
[enter]

That did not help?

Last week after running the regsvr32 shimgvw.dll file, I did get the
"Windows SEND PICTURES VIA E-MAIL DIALOG BOX " to open and reduce picture
sizes for faster e-mailing. I used that feature several time/days
thereafter. Today when I went to attach a Picture to OUTLOOK, the Dialog box
DID NOT open. I will run the regsvr32 shimgvw.dll again...and hopefully the
Dialog back will operate again. Anything anyone can think of what is causing
this to happen? Is there a way to keep this feature active?
