The rack and cabinet shapes allow changing their vertical size, but not
horizontal.

I want to keep the proportions, but simply adjust their overall size.

How?

the objects in the rack stencil (racks and devices) use a "drop on page
scale" function so that they remain proportional when the page changes. You
might want to start investigating there.

So what is the formula used to calculate the % for droponpagescale.
Obvious math does not work.
ie 297 mm X 210 mm page with a 48mm wide rack has a droponpagescale of
0.08333% (48/(291*210) is close but seems odd)

I found it by checking the shapesheet of the rack shapes. I haven't checked
but I'd start by looking at the pagescale of the pagesheet. One possible
reason for a difference is that the internal units of visio are inches and
it might be a metric to inches conversion issue.
