Resizeing a Word Table A3 size after pasting on A4 size powerpoint sheet

Dear friends,
I am unable to paste Word Tables into the Power Point
presentation sheet properly. The A3 table automatically
spreads out with fixed column size and whin i resize it
within the A4 ppoint sheets the table and text are
completly distorted.
Is there any way i can resize a word table after
pasting in powerpoint the way we do with exel graphs?
PLEASE HELP!
