Resizing print area in Excel with code

Can I resize the print area in Excel without changing the ActiveWindow.View
to "PageBreakPreview" and then back to normal. This causes an undesireable
refresh and flash of the screen that I do not want user to see.

When I remove the changes in active view, the spreadsheet crashes.

Thank you for your help as I struggle through "beginner" status.
