resolution keeps changing my layered items

I recently bought a template and I am using layers to position text on
certain areas of the template. this works perfect in 600 x 800 res. When I
change my resolution to a higher setting the layers all move is there any way
to correct this problem

Only by not using layers. It sounds like the template uses percentage-width
and/or centered tables; if so, it would be much better to insert the text
into table cells.

For what it's worth, resolution only affects the maximum width you can use
on your browser. The problem you describe, as Patty points out is caused by
the centering tables seeking a new center point as the browser viewport is
made wider or narrower.
