Resolve Error - Outlook must be on line to complete this action

Hi,

I am setting up an Exchange email account. When I Check Name I get the
following error message:

The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online
or connected to complete this action.

I cannot find how to make Outlook Online or Connected.

Ideas?
