My issue involves clients connecting to the Project Server through their
Project Professional client. Here is the scenario:
First, my environment is very locked down when it comes to IE settings.
Second, PWA connects in the Local Intranet and works fine. When a client
tries to connect to the Project Server through Project Professional they get
an error stating the Project Server's URL needs to be located in the Trusted
Sites. For some reason, moving the URL to the trusted sites does not work.
So, we moved it back to Local Intranet and it worked for a while. Then the
connection failed again asking for trusted sites. We instituted a registry
mod fix where we added a key to enable the intranet zone sites to the trusted
sites. Everything worked great until now, now our new clients cannot connect
to the Project Server through Project Professional.
Is there another solution that I am missing that could be used as a
work-around to connect to Project Server through Project Professional. All
suggestions would be helpfu.
Thanks,
