I received no answer to the question I posed earlier, but I continued
to work on the problem and this is what I came up with. It doesn't
make any sense to me, but it works. Could someone please let me know
if this was the actual cause?
When I first started working on the multipage form and created the
layers, I renamed the push buttons as I created them so that they
would have the same name as the page (layer) so I as I scrolled
through the HTML I would more easily be able to tell which botton
belong with which layer.
When I pushed the button, the layer would hide as instructed, but the
layer which should have turned visible would not.
Later, I began from scratch. This time, I didn't rename the push
buttons and everything worked fine. As a test, I created another
multipage form and did rename the buttons again and all the problems
came back.
So, is it that in order to make this work, the buttons have to retain
the names B1, B3, etc.?
