Resolving an xlsm file issue where entering data in a cell causes the format to change to Calibri 12, regardless of the selected font type and size, has been a frustrating journey. Microsoft Office support was consulted three times: twice via chat and once over the phone. The initial technician diagnosed the file as corrupted and performed a recovery by transferring content to a new file, resulting in the disappearance of the font problem but causing other issues such as missing macros and damaged conditional formatting rules. Surprisingly, the recovered file now takes 15 seconds to open, a significant delay compared to the original file's immediate opening.

In interactions with support, attempts to resolve the issue only resulted in further damage to both files, along with unnecessary changes like relocating my desktop to OneDrive. Disappointed with the lack of progress, I sought phone support, only to be informed that the technician couldn't resolve the issue and couldn't escalate it either, suggesting seeking assistance from this forum.

P.S. Despite changing the default font from Calibri 12 to a different font and size, the problem persists: entering text into a cell causes the format to revert to Calibri 12. This issue affects all tabs in the workbook.
