Resource Allocation

Recently several projects were created in Project Pro '07, resources were
added to the project and assigned tasks, and the projects published to PWA.
After a sit down with the Team leaders to discuss some particulars, it was
decided to move some of the resources to other projects, but after opening
the projects, removing the resources from the team list and tasks, and
re-publishing the projects, the resources continued to show up in PWA as
allocated to those projects. Is this a common issue? And if so, what is the
fix?

What do you mean by "the resources continued to show up in PWA as
allocated to those projects"? If you are looking at a Data Analysis
view, then you need to wait until the OLAP cube is built.

I think the direct answer to your question is that no, this is not a
common issue.

I have not yet setup any views in the Data Analysis are of PWA. I am going
into the Resource Center, selecting the resource / resources in question and
checking the "View Assignments" and "View Availability" areas and finding
over allocations due to them still appearing in these projects. If i open the
projects in question, the resources do not show up as members of the project
team, nor are they assigned to any tasks in the project.

As a test I did add one of the them back to the project, and went to the
"Resource Usage" view and found them to appear there as over allocated and
still associated with the tasks they've been removed from.
