resource allocation

Hello,

Does anyone know how to vary the % allocation of a resource to a task over
time?
e.g. I want Fred Bloggs to work on task 1 for 20% of his time from
01/01/2005 to 31/01/2005, and to work on task 1 for 30% of his time from
01/02/2005 to 31/03/2004.

Any help much appreciated.

You might consider resource contours (search the MSP help on Contour or Work
Contour). I've never actually used them but have know about them for ever...

Just my opinion but I'm leary of the feature because I'm concerned that I
might get caught in the "building the perfect model" trap... My biggest
concern is that if I add too much detail to my model of a project then the
model will always be 'wrong' so I'll spend way too much time fixing the
model instead of running the project....

Regards,
Mark

Hi,

Are you going to sit beside him and use a chronometer?
Why can't the bloke just work the time he has?
Besides what's the point in modeling 12 secs a minute or 18 (this is how
Project models this)?
Just a thought.
