information window. In the assignment information area, under the work
contour field, what is the difference between contour and flat?

Jackie,
Project has 8 built in work contour profiles plus a "contoured" setting
for user defined contours. The "Flat" contour means that the assigned
work will be linearly spread across the assignment time period. Other
contours spread the work as indicated. If you manually enter the work
values for each period, then Project will automatically show the
"Contoured" work contour, meaning the work has been customized by the
user.
