Resource Assignments

Hi,

I'm using Proj Server 2003 with SP1, SQL server 2000 with SP3 and Windows
2003.
I have an unusaul situation on just one of my projects. Despite having
changed tasks and re-published the plan, resources still see there pre-update
set of tasks. PWA shows the updated plan and no spooler errors are apparant
when publishing the project.

In addition I'm seeing some strange behaviour in the view resource
assignments page. I intermittently get a view of the updated task, but most
of the time I just get the toolbar with no reults returned. I do not get the
usual window telling me this resource has no tasks, just the toolbar and a
blank space where I'd expect to see the tasks.

The only thing that recently changed was that the PM tried to publish his
plan with a non enterprise resource, got the expected spooler error, removed
the resource and re-published. This is a mature plan and a real headache,
sorry if that was a bit long winded, can anyone help?

Are there errors generated in the server application event log when you
publish this plan? If so, post them here.

Gary,

No errors were generated in the app. event log. On closer examination of
the plan I noticed that somehow all of the task assignments had changed to
"proposed" instead of "committed". I'm not sure how this happened although
the plan is often used offline by the proj manager. He definately did not
make the change, can you suggest why the system might have done this?. After
changing the setting back to "committed" resources were able to see their
tasks as normal. The only lingering issue is that when trying to view
resource assignments through PWA I get no items returned. Is there something
I am missing?

Thanks
Martin

Martin:

Not enough information to guess, but you might try republishing just for
yucks.
